bullet Schott DCR Light Sources

The DCR is a DC-regulated 150 watt halogen light source which provides intense, old illumination for Machine Vision applications.  Powered by an internal switching power supply with universal input voltage, the light output does not flicker with the 50 Hz AC-frequency.  This makes the DCR the light source of choice for various Machine Vision applications.  The DCR light source will fully illuminate active bundle diameters up to 16mm (.63").  A broad range of fiber optic light guides and accessories are offered as well.

DCR III
The DCR III is a DC-regulated 150 watt-halogen light source, that provides intense illumination for machine vision applications. Powered by an internal switching power supply with universal input voltage, the light output does not flicker with the 50 Hz AC-frequency. This makes the DCR III the light source of choice for many machine vision applications.
The DCR III consists of rugged and stackable housing, modulamp assembly with the choice of three lamp types (DDL, , 9-pin analog connector as well as an optional iris-diaphragm, shutter and RS-232 connection.

DCR III Plus
The DCR III Plus is a DC-regulated 150 watt-halogen light source which provides intense illumination remotely controlled from a built-in RS-232 interface. The DCR III Plus can be controlled remotely using the integrated RS-232 interface. The product is designed to control up to three additional DCR III units via a built-in 15-pin connector. Expansion cables and DCR III light sources are sold separately.

DCR IV
The DCR IV includes all the standard features of the DCR III Plus light source, plus an integrated equalizer. A light feedback loop is integrated into the equalizer to provide stabilized light output for the most demanding machine vision applications.
The benefits of the DCR IV provide maximum power and exceptional performance. A stable lamp output over the life of the lamp and minimized lamp to lamp variation enables users of the DCR IV to be confident with stable lighting. The product is remote controllable using integrated RS-232 interface, as well as the featured integrated equalizer.

bullet Schott KL Series Light Sources

KL 200 LED

The KL 200 LED light source is perfectly suited to routine microscopes (“Greenough” type), both in terms of price and performance, using one 3 Watt High Power LED as the illuminant. The luminous flux at the end of the light guide is comparable with a 20 Watt halogen lamp. All light guides and corresponding accessories from the previous KL 200 model, which was operated with a halogen lamp, will also fit this model. The KL 200 LED is very small and compact and can be fitted to almost all “Greenough” microscopes with special holding devices, thus forming an unit.

  • Brightness equivalent to 20W halogen light sources
  • Usable as standalone or mounted at microscope stands
  • Fits to all light guides and accessories of KL 200 series
  • Wide range power supply with international clip system
  • No cooling fan (free of noise and vibration)
  • Continuous electronic dimming 0-100%
  • Separate on/off switch
  • DC driven
  • No color temperature shift on dimming

KL 1500 LED

The KL 1500 LED was developed for standard and high end applications using microscopes with a parallel light path (“Galileo” type). Its special optics couple light generated by a total of 7 High Brightness LEDs (each 3 Watt) into a glass fiber bundle with a maximum diameter of 9 mm. The luminous spot at the light guide end remains homogenous and the luminous flux is comparable with a 150 W halogen lamp. This is currently a one-of-a-kind performance. The price of the KL 1500 LED can be compared with its predecessor model, the KL 1500 LCD, which is operated with a halogen lamp.

  • Brightness equivalent to 150 W halogen light sources
  • Fits to all light guides and accessories of KL 1500 series
  • Inexpensive adaptors for other systems available
  • Slider for color filters
  • Wide range power supply with international clip system
  • Very low noise cooling fan
  • Continuous electronic dimming 0-100%
  • Separate on/off switch
  • DC driven
  • No color temperature shift on dimming

KL 1500 LED plus

The KL 1500 LED plus is an enhancement of the standard version, designed for the more upscaled demands in industrial and life science applications of Stereo Microscopy and Macroscopy. The brightness is equivalent to a 150-watt halogen cold light source. All advantages of LED light sources are combined with the main advantages of fiber optics, for an outstanding price-performance ratio.

  • All KL 1500 LED basic functions
  • PC controllable via USB
  • Foot switch connection
  • Intensity control at three sensitivities (fine, standard and coarse)
  • LCD display indicates brightness setting, operation mode or error code
  • Electronic shutter function
  • Flash function for freezing of movement

KL 1500 Compact

The KL 1500 Compact is a new 150-watt halogen cold light source, developed and designed for applications in stereo microscopy and macroscopy. With its modern and aesthetic design the typical "Look and Feel" of the KL family is maintained. Concentration onto basis features compared to the high-end LCD light sources allows an excellent price-performance-ratio. The KL 1500 compact is driven by an auto-switching wide range power supply which covers a range from 85 to 264 volts at 47 to 63 Hz for world wide usage. The high frequency (approx. 20 kHz) light source is digital camera proof - no flicker effect at short exposure times in "Life Image" mode.

KL 1500 LCD

T
he KL 1500 LCD is the performance leader in the field of 150-watt halogen cold light sources. With its outstanding modern design combined with optimized, homogeneous light output and variable light control options, this light source has been designed for applications in Stereo Microscopy and Macroscopy in laboratory, industrial and medical applications.
The KL 1500 LCD is available in 120- and 230-volt versions. The KL 1500 LCD has been approved and certified as laboratory and electro-medical device by VDE (230 volt version) and CSA (C/US) (120 volt version). The 230 volt version carries the CE conformity label.

KL 2500 LCD

With its new design and unique performance spectrum, the KL 2500 LCD is setting a new benchmark in the field of halogen cold light sources. Fitted with a 250-watt cold light reflector lamp, the KL 2500 LCD transmits more than twice the amount of light as the KL 1500 LCD. This unparalleled performance makes the KL 2500 LCD the instrument of choice for the most challenging applications in Stereo Microscopy, Macroscopy and Forensics. The KL 2500 LCD is equipped with a 5-position filter wheel, which makes filter selection quick and easy. Color filters and special GFP-fluorescence excitation filters are also available. Electronic accessories such as remote control or tilt switch can be connected to the analog socket in the front panel, enabling remote light source operation or connection of an RS-232-Interface.

bullet Schott Fiber Optic Light Guides
